Fennekin Official

Fennekin (Japaneseフォッコ Fokko) is a fire-type Pokémon. It evolves into Braixen at level 16, which evolves into Delphox at level 36. Along with Chespin, Froakie, Xerneas, and Yveltal, it was the first Pokemon to be realesed for Pokemon X and Y.


Fennekin is a fox-like Pokémon. It is covered in pale vute yellow fur that is longer on its haunches. Tufts of dark orange fur cover the insides of its large ears, and it has a white muzzle with longer fur on its soft cheeks. Hot air is vented from its ears, reaching temperatures of over 390 degrees Fahrenheit. It has large, dark orange eyes and a  black nose. Fennekin has small paws with no visible toes and skinny legs. Its tail is fluffy with a dark orange tip.

Serena's Fennekin

Serena's Fennekin was first seen at the end of A Battle of Aerial Mobility! as one of the three starters Serena was allowed to choose from Professor Sycamore. In the following episode, Serena chose Fennekin.

Minor Appearances

So far there have been no reported minor appearances.

In the MangaEdit

Fennekin along with the other starters were going to be given from Trevor to X to break his depression. But, when Yveltal attacked, it along with the accompanied Pokedex were sent flying, and got lost in the process.


Fennekin is the only Pokemon with a base stat total of 307.

Fennekin, Braixen, and Delphox are all known as the Fox Pokemon, along with Vulpix and Ninetales.


Fennekin is most likely based of a fennec fox.

Name Origin

Fennekin might be a combination of fennec and kindle.

Fokko may be a combination of fox,fuoco(Italian for fox), and 子 ko (child).
